A wallet ready for BNB Smart Chain
Three things have to be true before a first deposit: the right network, the right token, and a little BNB to pay with. The rest is habit.
The short version
- BNB Smart Chain is network 56. Any wallet that supports it will add it from a list. There is no need to type parameters.
- Gas is paid in BNB, so keep a small balance of it even if everything else you hold is USDT.
- USDT exists on many networks under the same name. Sending it on the wrong one does not arrive and cannot be recovered.
- Your seed phrase is the account itself. Anyone who reads it owns everything in the wallet, permanently.
- An approval is a standing permission. Granting it to the wrong address is how most drained wallets are drained.
The setup, in order
Install a wallet that supports BNB Smart Chain, write the seed phrase on paper and store it away from the device. Then select the network from the wallet’s own list, adding a chain by hand from parameters found in a chat message is a known attack route.
Fund it with a small amount of BNB for gas, then bring in the USDT you intend to use. Both must be on BNB Smart Chain: a balance on another network is not visible here and cannot be spent here.
The two checks before every approval
First, the network shown in the wallet. If it does not say BNB Smart Chain, stop. This is the mistake that sends money to an address you do not control on a chain you did not intend.
Second, the address you are approving. An approval gives a contract permission to move your tokens later, without asking again. Confirm it against the address published on the project’s own pages and on the explorer, not against one pasted into a message.
Habits that prevent the usual losses
Never enter a seed phrase into a website. No legitimate application asks for it, ever, including wallet support. The phrase exists only to restore a wallet on a device you control.
Keep a separate wallet for anything experimental, so a bad approval cannot reach savings. And review your approvals occasionally: they persist until revoked, long after you have forgotten the application that asked for one.
What this changes about reading TurboLoop
- Deposits and claims are signed from your own wallet; nothing on this site ever asks it to connect.
- The 4 contract addresses worth checking against are published and linked on the verification page.
- If the application is ever unreachable, the same wallet can claim through the explorer, where claimRewards is function 2 of the 7 the contract accepts.
